  1. We are so sorry for the loss of our sweet Clara Mae. She was a precious, giving, loving person who made everyone feel special! She made my girls and I feel like we were part of the Bryan family, and we loved her dearly. What a perfect example of a devout Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and neighbor she was! She was beautiful, inside and out!

My prayers go out to your family. I have sweet memories visiting in the home of George and Clara Mae as a young girl with my Aunt Bea and Uncle Deb Bryan. All the cousins had fun together. I especially remember the ice cream socials with lots of homemade ice cream. I also remember helping wash dishes in their home and got stung by a scorpion that was in the dish rag. Clara Mae was right there to assist in relieving the pain. That home was certainly filled with lots of love. God bless all of you.

My thoughts and prayers for peace are with you all. I loved Grandma Bryan dearly, and she always made me feel so special and like I was one of the grandkids. I’ve never tasted pumpkin bread that was as good as hers. I remember her being in the kitchen baking when we would visit her. I know she will live on with you all. Love and prayers to the entire Bryan family.

Our sympathy to the Bryan Family on the loss of your Matriarch. My husband and I have known Norman, Marilyn and their children for a very long time. We have heard wonderful praises of this sweet wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Just from our friendship with Norman and Marilyn, I know Clara Mae’s greatest legacy is her family. Clara Mae did a mighty fine job raising her family.
    With sympathy and prayers,
    Johnny and Zen

Jeanette, we are saddened to hear of the death of your mother, Clara Mae. While I did not know her personally, I was uplifted just reading about the life she led. Without a doubt she was a guiding light for the family. I know she will be missed, and I’m also sure her influence will live for generations to come. Dave and Judy Keith

Jeanette, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Reading your mother’s obituary made me think about you, too. You have the same characteristics as your mother. Strong in her faith and a loving Christian mother. May God be with you during this difficult time.

We first met Clara Mae a couple of years ago when our class started going to Lionwood every other month for services. She was truly the first person I looked for as soon as we arrived. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Even in our short visits, I could tell what a blessing she had been to her family and others. Our three girls knew her as the grape juice lady because we always gave the extra juice to her from communion. 🙂 She will truly be missed and forever be in our memories. Love to all of your family!

  17. I am a member of the Seekers class and we would visit Lionwood once a month to have a lesson with the residents. My first time at Lionwood I met Ms. Clara. She was so sweet and I loved getting to talk with her. She told me she would save me a seat next to her each time. I will miss seeing her at bible studies. I am sorry for your loss! Praying for your family!
