Charles Henry Suenram
1930-2023
Charles H. Suenram, 93 – Born, January 28, 1930, in Edmond, Oklahoma to E. H. and Ida Mae (Miller) Suenram. He died September 7, 2023. After High School and a couple of years of college Charles entered the United States Air Force and was stationed in Panama during the Korean War. Charles received a hard ship discharge from the Air Force and returned to Edmond to work for his father at the Farmers Grain Company. He became the manager and owner of the Farmers Grain where he stayed until he retired. Charles served the public by being a long term member of the Edmond Public Schools, Board of Education. He enjoyed games, gardening and had a deep love for his Lord and Savior.
Charles is survived by his wife, of 69 years, Donna C. (Olson) Suenram, children Joy Self, Cindy Roof, and Chris Suenram, their spouses Jack Self, Dewey Roof, and Cindy Suenram respectively, and his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Paul Self, Charlie Suenram, and Annie Suenram.
He was preceded in death by his parents E. H. and Ida, Brothers, Clifford, Lester, Milburn, and Sisters Mildred and Vivian.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or your favorite charity. Services will be held Monday, September 11, 2023, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel. Interment is to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma.
