Charles Edward Jacob
1939-2021
Charles Edward Jacob, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born March 24, 1939 in Cushing, OK to Otis Cornelius and Dollie Irene Jacob.
He attended Chandler High School and graduated from Bethany High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor Degree in Business from Oklahoma City University and later received his CPA in 1977. He worked for Presolite for 9 years as a controller and later worked at Demco, Cooper Industries, KF and retired from AOP in 2001. He persevered in every endeavor he set out to do. Charles enjoyed trips to Rockport, TX fishing with his father-in-law, Bill Allen and being with his family. Also, he was a member of the Edmond Church of Christ.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Otis and Dollie Jacob and sister Charlotte Rayburn. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharon L. Jacob; 2 children, Charles Jacob, Jr. and wife, Melanie Chesser; Angie Manning and husband, Lance Manning; 2 grandchildren, Cooper Lawson and Alexandria Lawson; his brothers, Ronald Jacob, David Jacob and wife Linda Jacob; sister-in-law, Linda Burgess.
Charles was a wonderful husband and father who always put his family first and will be dearly missed. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Integris Hospital on Floor 901 for their dedication in helping Charles.
A visitation for family and friends will held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City.
