Charles Aloysius Meiser came to the end of his journey at the age of 86 on Dec. 29, 2018. He was blessed to leave this world with his wife, Barbara, son Andrew Meiser, daughter Amy Morgan and grandchildren, Kaden and Kayley Morgan by his side. Charles was born to Eugene and Agnes Meiser in Noble, Oklahoma in 1932. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ernest Meiser and sisters Margaret Elkins, Jeannie Gaffney and grandson, Keagen Morgan.
Charlie was ordained a priest in 1957 and served the Archdiocese of Oklahoma until 1969. He was an Allstate Insurance Agent and was an active member of St. John’s serving as reader, Eucharistic Minister, Knights of Columbus member and RCIA Director. He regularly attended morning Mass and prayed the Rosary with parishioners in the Chapel. Charlie’s favorite hobby was gardening and he loved being with his grandchildren. Charlie will be missed by many – especially the Time Out group which he attended every Wednesday.
Special thanks to the Mercy ICU group who attended Room 35 and the wonderful Hospice people who were so attentive to him.

The sweetest of men! He was an Associate Pastor at St. James Catholic Church in Oklahoma City when I first met him. It was through his example that I decided to enter the seminary in order to study for the priesthood. When my father pass away, it was Father Charles Meiser who visited the funeral home to join me in saying farewell to him. He was always an example for me of the very best the church has to offer!
