Catherine Branson

1932-2018

Catherine L. Branson 85, of Edmond Oklahoma left this world to be with her lord and savior on October 16, 2018. She was born on October 27^th 1932 in Perkins, Oklahoma. She was raised on a farm outside of Perkins and she graduated from the Perkins-Tyron High school. She married Alfred Morgan in 1948 and remained married till his death in 1969. In 1972, she married Glen Branson and remained married to him till his death in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Emily Floyd, brother Bill Floyd, brother Kenny Floyd, daughter Alice Burnell, granddaughter Angela Walker, and great grandson Christopher Smith. She is survived by her sister Hazel Turner of San Angelo Texas, son Danny Morgan and his wife Melva of Edmond Oklahoma, daughter Linda Morgan of Edmond Oklahoma, daughter Janice Steward and husband Wendell Steward Jr. of Edmond Oklahoma. She was also survived by step children Sadie Pierson and husband John of Florida, Connie Blake of Oklahoma, and Ann Entz and husband John of Oklahoma. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Catherine was a loving mother, sister, grandma, and aunt. She brought Joy into the lives of her family, friends, and all that knew her.

Public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 19th.  Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Church of God (general fund) 1005 N.
