Budi Dharsono
1937-2018
Budi was born on July 1st, 1937. In his childhood, his father lost all he had because of the war. That experience made him learn well about survival and hard work. He grew up to be a really smart and athletic young man. He built everything he had out of almost nothing. In sport, Budi became the captain who led his team to win the national volleyball championship and also represented his country multiple times to compete abroad. In career and life, he became dentist at a pretty young age and he met the love of his life, Lanny, and married her on December 3rd, 1966. He had three beautiful and healthy children, Robert, Evelyn, and Andy. He had been diagnosed with liver cancer since October 2016 and still live strong until July 22nd, 2018. Budi had a full life and he finished it in peace by the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Public visitation will be held at Matthews Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25th and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 26th with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
