Bruce C. Hall

Bruce C. Hall

1937-2023

Bruce Hall, 86 of Chandler Oklahoma entered into God’s Kingdom on July 15, 2023. He was born January 24,1937 to Arlene and Jack Hall of Portland Oregon. Bruce was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Betty Matkins Hall, mom Arlene, dad Jack, brother Jack, and sisters Velma and Vicki.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kim Hamilton and Joy Giorvas and two sons Marty and Richard Hall and their spouses, thirteen grandchildren Ryan, Jennifer, Brian, Sarah, Vanessa, Joshua, Crystal, Amanda, Mandie, Aaron, Nickalas, Kandi, Mikel and their spouses, twenty-five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Bruce was a veteran of the Korean Peace War from 1955-1958 as a weapons mechanic. As a child he grew up in Portland Oregon where he learned many trades, but he loved building things. As he grew older, he became a carpenter and moved up to a senior field superintendent for Bill Gummerson & Associates where he retired from in 2006. His success in business can be directly attributed to his work ethic and his natural mechanical ability. His attention to detail was legendary. He took pride in the fact that he always left his customers satisfied.

Bruce wore many titles: husband, dad, brother, son, and friend. He loved to scuba dive, fish, visit casinos and was an eclectic collector. One of his great joys was watching his beloved Oklahoma Sooners play football at Owen Stadium in Norman, the Cotton Bowl for OU/Texas, and many other bowl games.

He will be greatly missed, and we will cherish the memories we had with him. Thank you from the Hall family for your love, support and prayers.

A memorial viewing will take place on July 20 at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S Kelly, Edmond, OK 73003 from 12:00PM-8:00PM and with family at 6:00PM- 8:00PM.

Funeral services will take place at 1:00PM on July 21, 2023 at Matthews Funeral Home.

HELGA, I am so sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. You will miss him I am sure, but he is at peace now, no more worries. Take care, dear friend. I remember the many holidays you spent together and all the good meals you prepared for him and how happy he was to go to Germany and meet your family. Glad he had the chance to say one more,”i love you” before he passed.
