Connelly, brian, obitBrian Patrick Connelly, 49, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and close friend to many, passed away on April 15, 2013. Brian was born on October 8, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Shirley Ann and John Richard Connelly.

Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1987. He owned his own business, Summit Landscaping, in the Edmond area and loved the work he did for the past 25 years. He grew up and lived most of his life in Edmond, Oklahoma.

He was a loving father that loved his son Duncan and would do anything for him. He attended Duncan’s sporting events and constantly offered his time and support to whatever Duncan needed either in his athletics or academics.

On August 15, 1992, Brian married Teresa Ruth Burkhart. This marriage was blessed with the birth of a son Duncan Paul Connelly, on February 24, 1997. Brian was the most loving and caring husband and a true soul mate for the past twenty years.

Brian has always been a trusted and caring family member not only to his immediate family, but also to the many people he has worked for throughout the years. Brian gained true loyalty from all of his customers over the years.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, John Richard Connelly, and is survived by his wife, Teresa Ruth Connelly; his son Duncan Paul Connelly; his mother, Shirley Ann Connelly, all of Edmond, Oklahoma; his brother Greg Connelly of Stillwater; as well as many other aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and many other family members and friends who loved him deeply and will miss him immensely.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, Oklahoma (www.mathewsfuneralhome.com).

    So sorry to hear about Brian. One of the nicest and funniest guys! Saw him last at the 20th high school reunion. Prayers to your family and Shirley. Shirley you will remember me as Charles and sue Putnam’s daughter.

    I am so sorry for the loss of Brian..I remembered seeing at our Edmond Memorial Class of 81 30th reunion 2 years ago this summer, it was a such a pleasure to call him a great friend for so many years. Had the pleasure working with him when we were in high school at Wendy’s we hall great times pulling pranks on each other..Certainly will treasure those great memories, may God Bless your family during this time!!!
