Brazil Hudson Piper
1923 – 2015
Our mother, Brazil Hudson Piper, went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 5, 2015. Brazil was born October 17, 1923 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to Will and Eva Hudson. She was the youngest of the five Hudson children, and the only daughter. Her brothers were Andrew, Judge, Choc, and Otis. Brazil married Charles Frank “Chuck” Piper on December 18, 1948. Chuck went to be with our Lord on February 26, 2005. Brazil is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law; Rick and Kathy Piper, Greg and Kay Piper, and Britt and Jean Piper; along with seven grandchildren; Brandon, Brian, Justin, Curtis, Lexi, Chad, and Bryn; and eight great-granddaughters. Brazil is also survived by her nephew, CB Hudson, Jr., his wife Jan, and their sons, CB III and Ben. She is survived also by her beloved surrogate daughter, Linda Morgan, and her husband, Terry. Chuck and Brazil attended Grace United Methodist Church. Brazil loved to play card games of all varieties, but with a particular fondness for the game of Bridge. She enjoyed the weekends spent at the Piper cabin at Lake Eufaula with Chuck, where they often entertained friends and family. Brazil was always interested to hear about the exploits of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She made our world a better place. Memorial Services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City on Thursday, December 10 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, Brazil would have wanted to direct donations to the Boy Scouts of America in her name, as she was proud to have one son (Greg), and three grandsons achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.
