1941-2019
Billy Eugene Traywick, 77, passed away on April 28, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born in Anniston, Alabama, he was the son of Marvin and Grace Traywick. He was raised from infancy by his fraternal Grandmother, Mamie Traywick. He graduated from Anniston High School. After graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and served from June, 1959 until June, 1963. He attended Bloomfield College receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, June, 1974. He then attended Fairleigh Dickinson University receiving a Masters of Business Administration, May, 1981. He retired more than once, with a final retirement from The Department of Veterans Affairs, Denver, Colorado.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife Susan and their pets and had planned to see the U.S. fulltime in their motorhome. He loved gardening, music, professional football, exploring historical sites, especially Native American history and meeting new people in his travels.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Traywick, his daughters Stephanie Valdez and Michelle Smith; his son Joseph Parker Traywick; step-son Wes Reyher; step-daughter Anna Wilcox; daughter-in-law Cricket Reyher; son-in-law Brent Wilcox; son-in-law Chris Smith; 4 grandchildren: Taylor Valdez, Jordan Valdez, Katie Smith, Sean Smith; seven step-grandchildren: Shannon Diaz, Chris Diaz, Cody Reyher, Kitty Evans, Madi Evans, Jonah Wilcox, Adelaide Wilcox; and two great grandchildren: Maelynn Diaz, and Freya Diaz.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2019 St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church.
The best cousin a person could have but he was more of a brother than cousin, I loved him dearly and miss him tremendously. RIP BILLY
