Betty Lou Wallace was born September 28, 1926 to Louis and Bessie Beckner in Sayre, OK she passed away June 20, 2018 at the age of 91. Betty was one of six siblings raised in Cashion, OK: Helen Lovell, Lowell Eugene (Butch), Wanda Jolene (Jo), Opal Marie (Peggy) and Zelpha Lorene.

Betty married John Thomas Wallace (Jack) on March 13, 1943 and immediately joined him in a military career that took them all over the country and in fact the world. These children brought seven grandchildren to the family: Kimberly Kay (David) Byrge, Tyler Wallace (Teresa) Bennett, Jennifer Lee (Tyler) Trent, Alycia Dawn Zajic, Bryan Eric Zajic, Derek Thomas (Amy) Fine and Aaron Wallace Fine. Also seven great grandchildren: Kayla and Lindsey Byrge; Seth, Gracie and Molly Bennett, Noah Trent and Elijah Fine.

My name is Aileen Hall, I am the daughter of Earl and Gertrude Hill. I really enjoyed talking with Betty. She loved to talk about her children and grandchildren. I loved to listen to her stories. She was so talented. The quilts she made were very beautiful. She was a wonderful lady and I am sadden for your loss.

So very sorry for your loss. Mrs. Wallace was such a sweet lady and I have many memories of her during my high school days going to her home. She always had a smile and the wisdom she shared was priceless! RIP
