Betty Anne Kilburn
1933 – 2023
Betty Ann Kilburn, aged 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 29, 2023, surrounded by her family. Betty was born on February 19, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a 1951 graduate of Edmond High School in Edmond, Oklahoma. She married and had three children who brought her the greatest joy. She often expressed how proud she was of each of them. Betty lived a full life raising her children and ministering through her church family. After retiring from a career in the corporate world, Betty moved to Galveston, Texas, with the intention of spending her time playing on the beach. However, God had other plans for her. Soon after her move, she joined First Baptist Church, Galveston, and was immediately asked, and gladly accepted, the challenge of leading a ministry that taught English to Internationals. She also led a weekly International Bible study and taught the International Sunday School class during her three years in Galveston. Upon returning home to Edmond, she became a CASA volunteer and became a member of Santa Fe Presbyterian Church, Edmond.
Betty leaves behind loved ones who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her children, Charles (Chip) Dale Kilburn II and his wife, Neva; Robert Shaun Kilburn and his wife, Tonya; and Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Vowell and her husband, Paul.
