Albert (Bert) G. Holland went to be with the Lord and was reunited with his beloved wife of 43 years, Nancy, on January 28, 2016. He was born in Enid, Oklahoma on October 8, 1937, to John and Elizabeth Holland.
Bert was a fun-loving character who took pleasure in making people laugh. He never met a stranger. He was ornery, funny and could fix anything. He loved working with his hands and always had some project underway. Bert had a strong love of family, the outdoors, his horses and his dogs.
He leaves a wonderful legacy for his family and will be dearly missed by many. Bert was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, parents, and brothers, Jack & Richard Holland. Bert is survived by two sisters, Rose Mary McAllister and Lucy Margaret Clark. He is also survived by his four children, Greg Holland & wife Jean Ann, & children Matthew & Kristen; Debbie Hoose & husband Mark, & children Meaghan & Brittany; Cindy Whiteley & husband Ron, & children Chad, Taylor Yarbrough & her husband Bobby; Doug Holland & wife Vanda, & children Carson & Hayden. One great grandchild, Cashel Yarbrough.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the local Alzheimer’s Association – (405) 319-0780. Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, and 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday at Matthews Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday at Matthews Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in OKC.

Greg, Debbie, Cindy and Doug. We were all so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. Let us know if there is anything you need. Much in prayer, for all of you and your families. Gary and Gina Hodson.
