Beatrice (Bea) Louise Gaddis, Edmond, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 5, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Bea was born June 21, 1943 to M.L. (Tobe) Trumbull and Hazel A. Trumbull in Guthrie, OK.

From an early age, Bea enjoyed drawing and creating art, especially subjects of nature. Bea enjoyed riding horses with her best friend Sarah. Bea was married to Dennis Musil in 1960 for a brief time in which she was able to realize her dream of rodeo and barrel-racing. Bea married Jerry White in 1962. They had one son Keith and enjoyed spending time with family, bowling, fishing, and outdoor activities. They were married 16 years. At that time, Bea enjoyed occupations where time could be spent with people such as selling FullerBrush products door to door. Bea earned her G.E.D. in 1981, the same year her son graduated from Guthrie High School where she also was a student. Bea began attending Central State University (UCO) in Edmond, OK where she met Dr. H.O. (Woody) Gaddis in his photography class. They were married in 1982.

Bea was active in the Edmond Art Association and various camera clubs. They participated in numerous art shows and events together in which she won many awards. Bea and Woody especially enjoyed the photography field trips to Taos, New Mexico. Bea was always smiling. Her radiant beautiful smile lit up the room wherever she went like during bowling leagues with her son Keith.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband and Keith’s father Jerry, husband Woody, stepson Doug Gaddis, and sister Margorie Grimes. She is survived by son Keith White, sister Frances Starr, and stepdaughter Lori Lyn Pettijohn and her sons, and many nieces and nephews. We would like to sincerely thank all of the caring and loving doctors and staff at OU Medical Center and at ProCure for their excellent care.

Public viewing and visitation will be held from 11 am to 8 pm Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Matthews Funeral Home at 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, OK. Memorial services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Memorial Road Mennonite Brethren Church at 4201 E. Memorial Rd, Edmond with burial to follow at Seward Memorial Cemetery on South Broadway in Guthrie.

Aunt Bea was a very special lady. Her radiant smile would light up the room, and her giggles and laughter were contagious. She will be sorely missed as she was so loved! We love you Aunt Bea!
