I was in the Psychology department when I first came to UCO. Barbara was a tremendous help to me. When she retired, she was missed. She continues to be missed. My deepest sympathy.

  3. The Emeritus Faculty Association of the University Central Oklahoma sends condolences to Barbara’s family. Barbara was well known for her work with the Psychology Department and her assistance was appreciated particularly by new members of the department.

  4. I am honored to state that as a College of Education faculty member, I had the pleasant opportunity to indirectly work with Barbara prior to her retirement. Her spirit was always pleasant and most helpful. The family can be proud to know that she represented you in a positive manner as she enthusiastically assisted faculty members as well as students. My thoughts are with the family.

Barbara Del Rio – always a constant in UCO Psychology and important
part of the UCO Family. I had opportunity to receive her direct guidance when starting my undergraduate degree in Psychology as an OWL – Older Wisder Learner…..a non traditional student, 39 years of age, single mom, working full at UCO. She was such a support. Ms. Del Rio made a positive differece in the lives of so many of us….student, staff and faculty.
    Sincerely, Kay J. Jones

She helped me navigate the bureaucracy when I was a undergraduate and graduate psychology student. I was grateful for the help from someone who knew what they were doing!
