Augusta “Gussie”  Seitsinger

Augusta “Gussie” E. Seitsinger was born in Midland, Oklahoma, to May (Bowling) and Tommy Beard. She was raised at the Bethany Catholic Orphanage from the age of 9 to 18. She was a loving wife and mother, and a true homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 6 siblings. Gussie is survived by her husband, Bob Seitsinger Sr., 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held at Matthews Funeral Home, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Tuesday, April 7th, 2020.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

  1. I knew Gussie back in the 70’s she would come in my laundry mat and do her laundry once a week, we talked, and talked and talked. She would bring me a loaf of banana bread all the time it was so good. She was such a lovely lady I valued our friendship so much. Rest in peace Gussie. Linda Lackey

    1. Thank you, I remember you Linda, she always enjoyed talking to you, it felt like our second home lol, my grandma would drag my brother and I up there and we would Rome around while she did laundry.

I remember you too u were a good kid, and sometimes back then I felt like she was my second mother. I truly loved your grandma, we got to know each other pretty well.     Grew up riding the bus and going to school with the Seitsinger boys. Did cub scouts too, that’s how I got to know Gussie. Good family and a good lady. RIP and God Bless!

Bob was lucky to have a wife that loved and cared for him hand and foot for so many years, you did a Great job and it was you’re time to go to heaven. Rest in peace my dear friend. ~T~

    I spent so many fun times at the Seitsingers. I could go on and on with memories of you all but especially Toni. Gussie was such a kind lady. Always had a sweet smile and sparkle in her eyes.
    It’s so hard to lose our mama’s. I know she’ll be missed.
