Arthur “Doyle” Alexander was born November 19th, 1929 and died July 13th, 2020 at his home in Edmond. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Evelyn Alexander, his parents, Clifford and Jennie Mae Gee Alexander of Wichita Falls, Texas, three brothers and a sister.
He is survived by a son, Randy Alexander and his wife Barbara of Choctaw, Oklahoma, a daughter, Lynn Farr of San Marcos, Texas, a son, Richard Alexander and his wife Janice of Tuttle, Oklahoma, four grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Doyle retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1986 after a 36 year career. After his retirement in Clinton, Oklahoma they made a home on Lake Texoma before moving to Edmond Oklahoma in 1997 for the remainder of his life.
His family will have a private celebration of life in his honor. In lieu of flowers we are requesting donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Doyle was a good neighbor. Lived a good long life. Enjoyed visiting with him a couple weeks ago out on his front porch.
My deepest sympathy to Doyle’s family. He and Margaret were a great couple and recall how much they cared for their family. I know he will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Ruth Murray
