Heaven gained a special Angel Sunday, December 10, 2017 as Anna Marie Brown was called home to Heaven. A very special person born with Down Syndrome to her parents, Frank and Zelma Brown on October 25, 1952. Anna Marie attended Dale Rogers Training Center for many years and assembled trophies for award presentations. She loved her “job” and many friends she had at the center. Later she attended the Oklahoma Center for Disabled Adults and participated in the many activities including the dances and bowling teams. She participated for many years in the Special Olympics and received numerous awards for winning her competitions. Anna Marie loved to bowl and participated in several leagues over the years. She loved country and gospel music and was an avid Johnny Cash fan. Her very favorite things were her many dogs and Dr. Pepper. Anna Marie had a talent for drawing and spent many hours drawing pictures. She found joy spending time with her many nieces and nephews and was always their favorite playmate. She loved spending time with her brothers and watching football with them. Her favorite teams were OU and the Dallas Cowboys. Her smile was contagious and she showed unconditional love to everyone she came in contact with.
Anna Marie was proceeded in death by her parents Frank and Zelma Brown, brothers Bobby Brown, Richard Brown, Gaylen Brown and sister Barbara Albert, sister-in-laws Carol Brown, Barbara Brown and Debbie Brown and brother-in-law Bill Albert. She is survived by brothers, Jerry Brown and Gerald Brown, and many extended family members.
Her family wishes to thank Sooner Hospice and Tuscany Village for the exceptional care provided to our special angel.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.
