Anderson, Anna BelleAnna Belle (Stone) Anderson, 88, of Edmond, formerly of Duncan, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, in Oklahoma City. Anna Belle was born Feb. 20, 1925, in Moyers, to Oscar Stone and Dola (Poole) Stone. She graduated from Eastern Oklahoma A&M with an associate’s degree in science and taught school in Moyers. She later lived in Oklahoma City before moving to Duncan, where she was a member of First Baptist Church and involved with Eastern Star. Anna Belle enjoyed playing the piano, reading and cooking. She will be remembered as a loving mother and a very special nanny who made the best homemade donuts and apple pancakes. She loved spending time with her friends at Copperlake Estates, where she resided, and her great-grandchildren treasured the time they spent there with her feeding the ducks. She leaves behind a lifetime of great memories with those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Edmond L. Anderson; a brother, Ed Stone; and a sister, Stella Hairell. She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Watson and her husband Jerry of Edmond; a son, Bruce Anderson and his wife Cari of Davenport, Fla.; a grandson, Christopher Anderson; five granddaughters, Tami Althoff and her husband Chris, Tara Byfield, Tori Wolohon and her husband Harrison, Alasen Anderson and Sarah Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Byfield, Asher Althoff, Avery Althoff and Quint Wolohon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Physician’s Choice Hospice for their care.
