Alicia Anne Cloer
1949-2023
Alicia Anne Cloer
Alicia “Anne” Cloer, 73, of Oklahoma City, OK died peacefully on July 9, 2023. Anne was born on August 14, 1949, in Whitesburg, Georgia to Ray and Lorene Chambers. Anne was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Lorene Chambers and her mother and father-in-law Marvin and Gladys Cloer. Anne is survived by her loving husband, Terry Cloer of Oklahoma City, OK who took such tender care of her to the end. She leaves behind children, Shelley Singleton of Oklahoma City, daughter Shawnda Sanders of Edmond, OK and son, Scott Cloer and his wife Angie Cloer of Edmond, OK; 7 grandchildren: Angel White, Landon Sanders, Kynleigh Sanders, Macy Cloer, Campbell Cloer, Reece Sanders, Sutton Cloer and Crew Sanders. Anne was a devoted wife to Terry since December 18, 1968, and a wonderful mother to her children and the best Mimi to her grandchildren. The joy of her life was spending time with her kids and grandchildren and her life revolved around celebrating them, cherishing them, loving them and creating a lifetime of memories with them. Whether it was fancy tea parties for her granddaughters, birthday celebrations at her home, or trips to the pumpkin patch with all the grandkids, she loved to celebrate with her family and spend all her time surrounded by them.
Anne’s life was filled with love and happiness by serving and taking care of others. She adored children and her best days were when her house was full of kids and family. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, loyalty, generosity, kindness and devotion to God and her family. She will always be in our hearts, abundantly loved and greatly missed forever. Our hearts are comforted in knowing we will be reunited with her again. We want to thank the wonderful nurses, physicians and staff of Mercy Hospice for the wonderful care and love they provided to Anne over the last 2 years and thank you to the nurses at St. Ann’s for their compassionate care.
There will be a service to remember and celebrate Anne’s life on Thursday, July 13, 2023 @ 2:00pm at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond.

Sending love and prayers to all of for family and friends. She was a wonderful lady and dear friend. She will be greatly missed by all of us that knew her and loved her.. I know is she singing and praising to God with the Angels.. and I will see my sweet friend again. She was my first Christian friend when I got saved at Plainview Baptist church 42 years ago and we always talked about her love for Jesus and listened to Christian music… and of course her children and grandchildren were part of our conversation, she loved them all and so proud of them and all her family..
Anne was a very sweet lady and she will be greatly missed. I will remember her fondly from my school years. Praying for her family and friends.
