Alice Florence Wilson 1943-2024
Alice Weathers Wilson, 81 of Edmond, OK passed away at peace on October 20, 2024. Alice was retired from the Edmond Public School System after serving 30 years in various school cafeterias.
She was the youngest daughter of four siblings born to Ted & Ella Weathers in Edmond, OK on April 26, 1943. In 1960 she married William “Bill” Wilson, Sr. and they resided in Edmond, OK raising their three children. Their lives were full with activities surrounding their children’s sports, school activities, gardening and spending time with family. Alice loved all crafts and always had projects at hand.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, and siblings, Geraldine Garcia and Bertha Young.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bill, children, Carrie Schmitz and husband Patrick, William Wilson, Jr. and wife, Kathy and Karen Amend, sister, Roberta Chapman and husband Jim as well as 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Jasmine Estates and Legacy Family Hospice for their outstanding care of Alice.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer Association.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Matthews Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond, Oklahoma. Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home.
