  1. Rejoicing with you Alice as you spend eternity in Heaven. You were a remarkable lady and grandmother. In the 34 yrs I’ve know you. You were always so patient, so understanding, and so loving of all the kids that came in and out of your home. May you rest in peace, and we will one day reunite. God bless

My condolences to the Snyder family. My mother and father, Natalie and Colonel J.O. Smith, from Okemah were dear friends with Fred and Alice. I remember Alice as an elegant lady who was “down to earth” and full of smiles. Alice and my mom had many things in common: their love of the Lord, their love and devotion to their families, and their military husbands whom they loved unconditionally (and both owned hardware stores in their communities). I am so glad that I was privileged to witness a sweet friendship between these couples–it encourages me still! Your mother, grandmother, and great grandmother made this world a MUCH better place; she will be missed. But her legacy lives on in you. God bless.
