Albert Hulsey born January 3, 1936 in Paris, Arkansas passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Albert’s mother died during the birth of Albert and his twin brother. The twins were raised by their mother’s sister Irene and her husband Oscar in Frederick, Oklahoma.

Albert was a star football player at Frederick High School and also worked at the movie theater as the projector operator. After high school, International Harvester and Oklahoma City Tractor employed Albert for several years. He eventually took a position as service manager for the Hesston Corporation where he spent 28 years in various locations including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Tennesse prior to his retirement.

Albert was married to Joyce Hughes who died in 1989. After his wife died, Albert married Barbara Newland who survives him. Through his marriage to Barbara he became active in the Pinto Horse Association of America, thereby able to make many friends in the horse show world. Albert was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Lewisville, Texas and was strengthened by his faith in God. Albert became a Master Mason in the Moore Masonic Lodge.

Albert’s hobbies were woodworking and spending time at his beloved lake home with his family and friends.  Albert believed in a firm handshake, and everyone that knew him was made better by his honesty and integrity.

Surviving Albert are his children Kenneth Hulsey (Barbara) of Ft. Smith, AR, Melanie Randell, Hawkins, TX, Cheri Langston (Tommy) Luther, OK, Vicki Ashby (Craig) Naples, Italy, ten grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, his son Michael Hulsey, Waco, TX, and his brother Glen Teltow, Clarksville, AR.

Albert is survived by his twin brother Alfred Hulsey (Ellen) Edmond, OK, brother William Teltow, Clarksville, AR, half-sister Geneva DeVazier, Clarksville, AR, half-brothers Jerrell Teltow (Patsy), Barnet, TX, Norman Teltow (Linda) Aurora, CO, John Teltow (Sheryl), Ft. Worth, TX, sister-in-law Jonnie Teltow. In addition there are many nieces and nephews and close loving friends.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with service following at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK with private inurnment to follow at a later date. The Reverend Tammy Teltow will officiate. The family requests contributions be made in Albert’s memory to the Pinto Horse Association Heritage Foundation in Bethany, OK, Mercy Health Foundation, Oklahoma City, OK, or the charity of your choice.
