Aaron Jacob Thompson, 33, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, September13, 2020. Aaron was born on February 15, 1987, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Angela and  Christopher Thompson. Aaron proudly served his country for 3 years in the Army 4th Infantry Division and as a Staff Sergeant in the Oklahoma National Guard Combat Infantry division. Aaron was deployed to Iraq while in the Army then in Afghanistan during his time with the Oklahoma National Guard. After his service Aaron became a Journeyman Iron Worker with the Iron Workers Union 48. He leaves to cherish his memory a son; Vincent Eric Thompson,  mother; Angela Thompson, father; Christopher Thompson, brother; Avery Thompson, sister; Allison Thompson, grandfather; Richard Thompson, grandmother; Carolyn Johnson, grandfather; Clifford Tyler, grandmother; Ruthann Tyler, significant other; Crystal Rojas and her parents; Santiago and Raquel Rojas. He is preceded in death by his grandmother; Carolyn Thompson, uncle; Eric Thompson, grandfather; Jay Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2020 at Matthews Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Spring Creek Cemetery.
