Randy graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1981 with a Bachelors of Science degree. He and his wife Barbara married in 1981 and they have two sons Kyle and his wife Maddie and Kris. Randy and Barbara are both licensed funeral directors and embalmers.

Randy worked as a funeral director in Oklahoma City before taking a management position in Frederick, Oklahoma. In 1987 he moved back to Edmond where he began his service to the Edmond community.

Randy is a member of the Noon Kiwanis Club, The National Exchange Club, a volunteer at Breakfast on Boulevard he is also active as a Edmond Senior Community Foundation Board Member and an  Edmond Chamber of Commerce Board Member where he also serves as an Ambassador.  Randy and his family are active in a local church.
