Jackie Reining
1960-2016
Jacqueline Matlock Reining, 55, of Edmond, Ok became heaven bound early Sunday morning on October 2nd, 2016. Jackie was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on December 8, 1960 to J.C. and Nancy Jo Matlock before moving to Edmond as a young girl where she spent the majority of her life. Jackie was passionate about her family and showed deep love for anyone fortunate enough to call her family or friend. She constantly prioritized her loved ones needs before her own, refusing to see anyone have to struggle if there was anything she could do to help. Nothing gave her more joy than to see the laughter and smiles on her children, grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews faces. She had a rare compassion that extended to anyone she saw in need, without judgement or prejudice Jackie cared deeply that all people deserved to be loved and experience joy. She even said she would still be cheering for Kevin Durant.
Because of her faith in Jesus Christ, her family and friends take comfort knowing that Jackie has been reunited with loved ones who have passed in the presence of our Heavenly Father and His Son. Jackie is survived by her loving husband Pete, son Robert, daughter Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Maze, son-in-law David Maze, and two grandchildren Ashton and Easton Maze. Jackie also leaves behind her brother Jason Matlock, sisters, Jan Baty and husband Randy, Jill Wheeler and husband Randy, Jayne Willcox and husband Ralph, brother-in-law Forrest Reining and wife Diane all of Edmond, Ok and sister-in law Mary Sue Campbell and husband Don of Chicago, Il along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jackie was preceeded in death by her parents J.C. and Nancy Matlock, parents-in-laws Curtiss and Jean Reining, sister-in-law LuAnn Reining Moster, nephew Shane Wheeler, and niece Savannah Willcox.
Jackie’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, October 6th at 10 am at Matthews Funeral Home located at 601 S Kelly in Edmond, Ok. Family will be greeting guest from 5-8 on Wednesday, October 5th at Matthews Funeral Home.

Joe, Brooklyn and family
A comforting thought we can turn to in the Bible at Revelation 21:3,4 where we can be assured that there’s hope to see our loved ones again. May your family rely on God for assurance and comfort.
Robert, Becky, and all- I am so very shocked and just at a loss. I loved my times with Jackie as I visited your Grandma Jean. The three of us had great conversations, and Jackie’s love for Jean, for all her family was strongly evident. She had such a sweet heart and was so very gentle and loving. Much love and many prayers coming your way. If I can be of any help, do not hesitate to call on me.
