Darlene Mary Schwall
April 2, 1953 – January 6, 2017
Darlene M. Schwall, 63, passed away January 6, 2017 in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and retired from the Louisiana State Food and Drug Unit, Legal Services as an Executive Secretary, Board of Medical Examiners with 30 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her mother Catherine in 1998 and her Father John in 2011.
She is survived by her brother, John N. Schwall, III and wife Angela and numerous nieces and nephews.
Darlene loved to travel, and was blessed to be baptized in the Jordan River on a trip to Jerusalem. She had many friends and hobbies and liked knitting, puzzles and word games.
I wish to thank Edmond Health and Rehabilitation and especially Valir Hospice for their loving care during this difficult time of need.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond.
Graveside Services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday January 13th at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette, Louisiana. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend.
