Charles Leon Wagoner, 80

Charles died from Lung Cancer on February 27, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at home in Edmond, OK.

Charles was born in Luther Oklahoma on August 2, 1935 to Ruby and Charlie Wagoner. He Graduated from Luther High School in 1953 and moved to Edmond in 1954 and began working for Central Sales Promotion. He attended Central State College and received his accounting degree in 1961. He met his wife, Joyce Hodge Wagoner in 1964 and they were married July 29, 1965 and they raised 3 children. He was employed by Kerr McGee Chemical Corp in 1965 and worked there for 22 years until he opened his own accounting firm in 1987 which he retired from in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Wagoner, mother, Ruby Gatten Wagoner, brothers Robert, Cecil, and Jack Wagoner, and sister Bonnie Marie Wagoner. His is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Joyce (Hodge) Wagoner; son, Steven Wagoner and his wife Angela (Silbernagel) Wagoner of Flower Mound, Texas and their three children, Rachel, Blake and Braden; daughter Janice (Wagoner) Maly and her husband Daniel Maly of Edmond, OK, and their two children Brittany (Maly) Behrnes and husband Ryan Behrnes and Austin Maly; son Greg Wagoner of Boca Raton FL, and his daughter Jessica (Wagoner) Hinterleitner. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Wagoner of Edmond, OK, and sister Gloria Jane Wishon of Edmond, OK; 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday March 3, 2016 at Waterloo Road Baptist Church, 3100 E. Waterloo Road in Edmond, OK with burial following the service at Gracelawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Waterloo Road Baptist Church.
