Billy Lawrence Bagwell, 88, of Edmond, Okla. passed away on Tuesday, February 7th at Okla. Heart Hospital. Bill was born Sept. 16th 1928 at home in Wingate, Texas. He is the son of William Neely Bagwell and Ola Mabel (Evans) Bagwell, both deceased. He grew up in Wingate, Texas where he met his wife Joyce Doylene (Branham). They were married in 1947. Bill started working in the oil field, working in Texas, Kentucky and ending up in Oklahoma in 1953. The have lived in Edmond since 1957 where they raised their 3 kids. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doylene Bagwell, a son Ronny Bill Bagwell and a grandson Billy Dale Bagwell.

Bill is survived by children, Richard Bagwell and wife Johnny, Randy Bagwell and wife Sue, Daughter Vanessa and three grandkids and 4 great grandkids. Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with private burial service Monday at Gracelawn Cemetery.

    1. Thank you so very much. I am so glad you came to the service and hate that I didn’t get a chance to speak to you after. It is going to be very quiet without both my parents here. But today 2/15/17 is their 70th Anniversary so I know mom was calling him home.
